Sailing the flat water of Grantsville Reservoir. Arrived for an early morning session and rigged a 6,3 and F2 Ride 277. Winds were 20 - 28 mph.

Surprisingly very often. This lake is just below the stansbury mtns out west of slc and if there is a southerly or monsoonal flow, it blows almost every morning 15-25 during the summer. It's flat water, but fun. The mtn lakes up higher usually get thermal winds at 12-20 pretty consistently. In the spring and fall we get the big storms from the nw with major south winds before and north after. However, the water is rarely warm. It's full on dry suit sailing late fall and early spring. What's fun is sailing before the storm in the valley and then powder skiing the next day.
