Hello everyone, I just got into windsurfing this year and have been using YouTube as my primary learning source, which is certainly why I haven't progressed too much. I'm looking for someone who can go out with me and provide some instruction. Willing to pay in your currency of choice. Let me know. Thanks.

I don't know of anyone locally giving lessons, being unemployed & sailing as much as I can gives me plenty of time. I don't however have a beginner board, do you have your own gear? It looks like friday may provide a moderate breeze, 10-15 is best for learning in general. Fees are minimal, usually an occasional burger or beer. Most of the local crew will be glad to help when available.
Hey Charles, thanks so much.  I've been windsurfing most of the summer down in Florida, but using my Whopper windsurf SUP instead of a windsurfing board.  success has been hit and miss!  i have a complete rig and a new rrd board here now and would like to give it a go on lake norman with someone who knows what they're doing.  i could probably do something late friday, but definitely over the weekend.  i really appreciate your reply!  Brent

Brent,

What's up brother?! I too have started learning out here and have met some of the friendliest guys so far that are willing to help you progress. Ramsey Creek will be the spot you want to get familiar with. One I get the right base for my new long board....I'm planning on getting out there one way or another....even if I'm only sailing at 2kts......I'll be happy. Txt me anytime you want and I can give you as much info as I possibly can!

This afternoon looks like direction will be good for Ramsey Creek, but a bit light around 10, possible storms may bring some more wind. Tomorrow looks better strength 10-15 with gusts in the 20's, but direction looks more westerly(usually a bit gusty @ Ramsey Creek)
So, who's up for friday afternoon? I think I'm going to find ramsey creek on map quest and give it a try!
Ramsey Creek Park is off Catawba Ave in Corneilus,  take Nance Rd(near Wherena Marina) park entrance is on right, pretty well marked. I'll proably be there by about noon.
I'll be there, more likely around 1 or so!  Hope to see you there!
