Looks like a moderate N/E flow starting today locally, 9:00 AM report from Badin Air Sta. N/E 13 Gusting to 17, F-cast to peak shortly after noon, cloudy with a hi in mid 60's. Badin F-cast for tomorrow nearly the same

Pretty Good day @ Badin yesterday 7.1 & Techno until about noon, picked up to 6.0 until about 2:00, started getting gusty & oscillating to east. Today's report & F-cast looks about the same, guess I'll be headed out by 10:00 or so.

Where did you launch at Badin?

Anyone thinking about the coast?

We launched @ the Badin picnic area, just north of the RxR tracks on NC740. It was  a bit to far east to really be solid, puffy 7.1 for me. More East in F-cast for today has me thinking of Beatties ford launch on LKN for today & maybe tomorrow. If it goes due E or S/E Whitney Channel will start working.

Pretty tough but fun conditions at Charleston (Isle of Palms) I started out with a way powered 4.7 and 85 liters, then dropped to a powered 4.2. Waves were waist to head high on the inside, but on the outside sand bars some of the swells were at least logo high.  Really fast bottom turns on those outer breaks as you were super powered up with the side/side off conditions. Mark Melaragno and Donald Obst were on 4.7's and 85 liters. All three of us only last a couple of hours. Nice one day trip.

Tried to keep people updated on this site but no other takers.

It was very nice side-side off at OIB.  5.2/94L shoulder high inside 1-3 turn.  Perfect 2013 opener for me.

Glad you caught it!  We were wondering how it was north of us. Weird direction for everyone.

Happy Cinco De Mayo ! looks like another one of those Badin daze for me, 8:00 report N/E 15 G 22. I was wondering how went on the coast, maps looked real strong  but East for alot of places, glad you got it. Pretty solid 6.0 yesterday until about 2:00 when it swung to E & got puffy. F-cast to be about the same today with a little rain headed out shortly.

In addition to Friday OIB came through Sat and today too.  Consistent swell all three days independent of tide.  ssssssstoked.

Damn. Glad you caught it!  Pretty gusty but cold up here. Rainy.  Envious.

Sorry I missed this one.
